Popular Chinese smartphone makers, Huawei launched list of its handsets which will be soon getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The company announced that it will roll out the Nougat update in form of its EMUI 5.
The EMUI 5 update will come in the first quarter of 2017 to these smartphones:
Huawei Mate 8
Huawei P9
Huawei P9 Plus
Huawei P9 lite
Huawei Nova
Huawei Nova Plus
Out of which, the Huawei Mate 8 and P9 will receive the Update first, followed by the rest. While, The recently launched Huawei Mate 9 is the first phone from the company, which is launched with EMUI 5. The company, at the launch event of Mate 9, said that the EMUI 5.0 ROM comes with several improvements in design, interface, and security.
“The new EMUI 5.0 along with Android 7.0 offers ease of use, improved efficiency and safety. With EMUI 5.0 the user can activate the 90% of the main functions in only two or three clicks. Moreover, thanks to “Machine Learning”, EMUI 5.0 is able to dynamically optimise the most frequently processing resources to applications used, through the analysis of user behaviour over time. It is also possible to manage the consumption of your device’s battery with greater ease and efficiency via the new intelligent system power management. Finally, EMUI 5.0 comes with enhanced security features, such as App Lock, which allows the user to ensure the highest safety levels for specific applications,” the company quoted in its Posts .
